A Look at the 2023 Mazda CX-30

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is an elegant and fun-to-drive compact SUV that offers you more for your money than most of its competitors.

Punching above its weight

Mazda has been moving its vehicle’s style and quality upmarket for a few years and the 2023 CX-30 is one of the vehicles where this move is the most evident. This can be seen in the crisp bodylines, the elegant LED headlamps, and taillamps that feature distinctive visual signatures, and the touches of chrome that add to the appearance without making the vehicle look gaudy or old-fashioned. Inside, the same is true since the CX-30 adopts a modern instrument panel that is both minimalistic and intuitive, with all of the most important controls being placed within easy reach of the driver. All of this combines to make the CX-30 look much more expensive than it really is.

A high level of enjoyment behind the wheel

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is one of the most fun-to-drive vehicles in its segment due to its advanced powertrains and its refined chassis settings that benefit from Mazda’s experience in terms of suspension and steering systems. The standard engine in the CX-30 is a 2.0L SkyActiv unit that delivers 155 horsepower to all four wheels via the standard i-Activ all-wheel drive system. Moving up to the CX-30 GS adds a more powerful 2.5L engine that saw its output increase in 2023, now delivering 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. If you want even more power at your disposal, the CX-30 GT can also be ordered with a turbocharged version of this engine which is capable of producing up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.

More standard features than most

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is also one of the best values in its segment since it offers a long list of standard features despite its low starting price. For example, the CX-30 GX comes with heated front seats, LED headlamps and taillamps, Mazda Connected Services, an 8.8-inch center screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, push-button start, blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alert, and rain-sensing wipers. The mid-level GS adds a heated steering wheel, cylinder deactivation, 18-inch alloy wheels, and dual-zone automatic climate control, among others.
