2021 Mazda lineup receives top IIHS safety rating

Every single new Mazda vehicle scored the highest possible safety rating in crash testing and accident avoidance from the IIHS. This impressive feat proves that every Mazda, from the Mazda CX-5 to the Mazda3 to the new Mazda CX-30 will always keep you and your family protected.

To achieve the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, a vehicle must get the highest score in every test including moderate overlap front, driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests. A Superior rating for the vehicle’s crash test prevention and its headlights is also mandatory.

“With safety a top priority for Mazda, we are proud to have every Mazda vehicle tested earn the coveted 2021 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award. This accomplishment stems from our commitment to our owners,” said Mazda North American Operations President Jeff Guyton. “Our customers have come to expect Mazda’s dedication to providing advanced safety technologies paired with dynamic styling, which give them a confident and more enjoyable driving experience.”
